Barleygrass belongs to a family of grasses called cereal grasses. Cereal grasses contain 20-25 percent protein that includes a balanced blend of 20 natural amino acids. Barleygrass (Barley Grass) contains 50,000 IU of natural beta carotene per 100 grams, nearly double the amount found in carrots. Cereal grass extracts typically contain juice and fiber that provides a full spectrum of essential nutrients.
